The Royal Shakespeare Company, in collaboration with Manchester International Festival, Marshmallow Laser Feast and Philharmonia Orchestra
A live, online performance set in a virtual midsummer forest.
Take a glimpse into the future.
Dream is the culmination of a major piece of research and development exploring how audiences of the future will experience live performance. Led by the Royal Shakespeare Company, in collaboration with Manchester International Festival, Marshmallow Laser Feast, and the Philharmonia Orchestra, the production uses real-time motion-capture technology to take a live online audience into the magical world of a midsummer forest.
Under the shadow of gathering clouds at dusk, lit by the glimmer of fireflies, Puck acts as your guide. Explore the forest from the canopy of the trees to their roots, meet four sprites, Moth, Peaseblossom, Cobweb and Mustardseed, and take an extraordinary journey into the eye of the storm. The natural world is in peril. Can you help Puck rebuild the forest before the dawn?
Under gathering clouds in the glimmering night, Puck is your guide. Explore the magical forest from the canopy to the roots and take an extraordinary journey into the eye of the storm.
